How To Be Front & Center

We love fostering an environment where our clients feel comfortable and can be themselves.

So today, we’re talking to the women - the moms in particular, who put everything into their kids and loved ones and don’t know what to do when the attention finally falls on them.

Getting your family portrait taken can be daunting anyway, especially if it’s the first time this calendar year that all the attention falls on you. So we’re going to give you some quick insights into how to relax your body language so you can get the most out of your portrait experience with us!

Posing focuses primarily on your body language. Everyone knows that within day-to-day conversation our body language gives other people insight into how we’re thinking and feeling.

Some of us are much more expressive in our body language than others. So during our session, your body language truly means your portrait speaks a thousand words. The portrait experience is so much more than just creating a beautiful image, you’re conveying a message.

So what’s the secret to achieving the perfect portrait-taking mindset? It sounds simple but you need to relax. Practice some mindfulness and get out of your own head and enjoy the experience. After all, you’re here to celebrate and capture an amazing memory with your loved ones, so enjoy it.

The rest will follow. You’ll notice once you are psychologically more relaxed, your psychical appearance will start to open up. Gently roll your shoulders back - engage with the people you brought with you and focus your energy on enjoying the experience together – laugh and let loose. Your body language will convey how you’re feeling, and we want you to enjoy yourself!

Make the most of the dedicated time you have to enjoy capturing a memory with the people closest to you. Let us do the heavy lifting – creating beautiful artwork for you and your family is what we’re best at!
